MechanicImprints.com Launches Website to Fight Mechanic Fraud and Offer Advice and Tips to Vehicle Owners
New website offers members opportunities to fight mechanic fraud by displaying repair receipts and examine the real cost of auto repairs.

BOSTON, MA, August 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MechanicImprints.com is a new enterprise aimed at exposing and eliminating mechanic fraud while offering advice for those searching for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic to fix and maintain their vehicle.

MechanicImprints.com is not about 'naming and shaming'; its aim is to provide a platform where members can share their experiences of mechanics, make recommendations, review mechanic performance, compare costs and warn fellow members about suspect practices. A unique concept, MechanicImprints.com aims to bring transparency to a trade that has often earned itself a bad press. The website will enable members to examine and share receipts, expose the real cost of automotive repairs, and fight fraud 'one receipt at a time'.

MechanicImprints.com is the 'go-to' site for everything you always wanted to know about cars, motorcycles and bicycles and their repair and maintenance. The site's "Shops Directory" will help you locate an auto repair shop anywhere in the U.S. while free listings offer members the opportunity to buy and sell their vehicle, locate and buy used parts and obtain free quotes from local dealerships. The site also has 'how to' videos for those wanting to do their own repairs; members can watch videos on how to change a tire, change spark plugs, jump start a dead battery and a host of other basic repairs. A question and answer section allows members to get their questions answered by experienced mechanics and there are also blogs and news reports on issues of interest. There are even games, more than 200 at present, purely related to cars, motorcycles and bicycles.

"Our mission statement is: 'Fight mechanic fraud. Share, learn, teach.' We aim to fight mechanic fraud through sharing receipts and reviews, while also offering advice and useful do-it-yourself tips," says Aurore Alabre, CEO and founder of MechanicImprints.com.

The MechanicImprints.com website is user friendly and easy to navigate; anyone who owns a vehicle will find something useful here.
